Tip Of The Week: Shine Your Shoes With Olive Oil

This trick works best on black shoes, as there's no risk of the oil changing the color of the leather. Just dab a small amount of olive oil on a cloth and gently wipe the surface of your shoes!

The fats in olive oil and other kitchen oils will become rancid over time when used to "polish" shoes. Don't cheap out and instead invest in an eco friendly commercial shoe oil not polish....it will extend the life of your shoes by years. While you're at it learn about how to properly care for, maintain, and store your leather shoes....you'll be glad you did when that nice pair of loafers or pumps lasts 20 + years in beautiful pristine condition.
