Reviews For Phat Beets Aromatic Pickled Beets
Based on 18 Reviews
The best beets ever and I love the fact the they are low in sodium. If only they were less expensive I'd order more often.
I swooned on the first bit. Tasty, healthy, and convenient - these are they best beets I've had. I just wish they were a little less expensive. Since everyone in my home loves them, I'm going to be buying a lot of jars.
Great flavor profile
Beets are flavored with my favorite spices. Just wish I could get a bigger jar because I eat them up fast!

These are the best beets and low sodium a huge plus for my family.
These beets are exceptional and well named, though might be an acquired taste.
I love these! I try to always have a jar on hand for if I want to add a little flair to a meal. Super flavorful
And the beet goes on.......
This pickled beet is a surprise to your palate if you are expecting a more mainstream pickled beet.
It has a lingering taste of earthiness and very strong vinegar which is great if you like that flavour. Personally, its a no go for me.
I love roasted beets, baked, sauteed, steamed and pureed, and my own pickled beets...but not these.
Too much clove and/or allspice
I'm not sure if I read the ingredients, but even if I did, I would've never imagine the allspice and/or clove taste would be so strong. We barely tasted them and they're sitting in the frigde. I tried rinsing them, but that didn't do much. They're not bad per se, just not my kind of thing
Phat pickled beets
Excellent flavor and texture. Healthy and adds a good touch to meals.
Tasted good but the beats were kind of hard

Not my mother's flavor. Way too strong of a vinegar taste. Need a toned down flavor.
These aren't my favorite pickled beets. The flavor is a little off for me and I can't exactly place it. They aren't bad by any means, but I've had better. Worth a try though.
gimme the beet
These are fantastic in salads, with a little goat cheese, or straight out of the jar.
Phat Beets: Rick's Picks
INCREDIBLY TASTY, PERFECT TEXTURE. Cannot get enough!!! My mouth is watering as I type!!!
Not my favorite
I love pickled beets and was super excited to see these offered! These from rick's picks just have too much spice (I suspect the allspice) + way too many onions for my liking. Glad I gave them a try but don't plan on reordering.
Not Traditional, but Tasty
I enjoy nibbling on a beet from this jar, but the flavor is MEGA INTENSE. Almost like chewing red hot cinnamon gum while eating a beet.
Okay that makes these beets sound horrible, and they ARE NOT! They are just not exactly what I was expecting, They really mean it when they say "aromatic."
Super Sour and too much Clove, but Good Texture
Texture is nice but all it tastes like are cloves and vinegar. Can't taste the beets.
I love these pickled beets. I only regret is that I can't afford to eat a jar every day.
Most commercial brands of pickled beets (and even from-scratch recipes) flavor the beets with cider vinegar or an herb vinegar such as tarragon vinegar. Then, they throw in sugar and salt, and (ideally) sliced onion--that's it. Phat Beets are a different, gourmet style.
The Phat Beets recipe has a complex layering of spices--rosemary, ginger, lemon, onion, allspice, cinnamon sticks, cloves and brown sugar instead of white sugar or corn syrup. The recipe uses cider vinegar.
