When you’re sick in the winter, you probably lean on warm teas, fragrant broths, and hot soups for soothing comfort. But what if you’re chasing away travel sickness or summer colds during warmer weather?
These immunity bomb ice cubes are just the thing to support your immune function naturally. With anti-inflammatory and antibacterial ingredients like turmeric and fresh ginger, plus coconut milk to aid in vitamin absorption, these easy-to-make ice cubes are the perfect addition to a smoothie or a summer mocktail.

Yield: One tray (about 12 ice cubes)
Ingredients:
1 lemon, chopped
1 teaspoon Thrive Market Organic Ground Turmeric
1 teaspoon freshly cracked Thrive Market Organic Black Pepper
3 pieces raw ginger
1/3 cup Thrive Market Organic Raw Unstrained Honey
1 orange, chopped
1/2 cup Thrive Market Organic Coconut Milk
1-2 cups water, to blend
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth, 1-2 minutes.
To remove fibers, strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl (optional).
Transfer mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight.
To serve:
As an immunity shot: Let 1-2 ice cubes melt in a glass overnight in the fridge. Stir to incorporate ingredients, then take as a shot.
As a hot drink: Place 2-3 ice cubes in a mug and pour hot water over top. Stir to incorporate ingredients, then sip away.
As an iced drink: Place 2-3 ice cubes in a glass and pour water or coconut water over. Let the ice cubes melt a bit to incorporate, then enjoy.
In a smoothie: Drop 1-2 ice cubes into a blender with your favorite fruits, veggies, and other ingredients, then blend as usual. Note: works best in tropical flavored smoothies.
