Is Lime Juice Good For Your Skin?

Last Update: September 28, 2022

Lime juice makes a shockingly great natural facial toner.

Simply mix equal parts lime juice and water and store in the fridge. After washing your face, apply the toner with cotton balls or pads.

This toner is especially good for oily skin, but is gentle enough to use on any skin type. To make an exfoliating scrub, simply add a teaspoon of oats to the mixture.

Editor’s Note: Citrus juice can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, and even cause sunburns. Health professions generally recommend washing any citrus juice off your skin before going into the sun. Please exercise caution when using this toner.
