As the weather cools down, the kitchen heats up with hearty soups, toasty baked goods, and other warming comfort foods. Bring some of that coziness to cocktail hour with this five-ingredient holiday mulled wine recipe from Cassy Joy Garcia of Fed & Fit. Start with almost any red wine you have on hand (we recommend malbec, merlot, or cabernet—and have plenty of clean, organic and sustainable options to choose from), then infuse it with the sweet seasonal flavors of apple cider, citrus, and cinnamon. A slow cooker makes this a no-fuss, set-it-and-forget-it deal—crucial for busy moms like Garcia—but you can brew it just as easily on your stovetop.
