Editor’s Picks: Our Favorite Products in July

Last Update: February 10, 2023

As Thrive Market employees, we know a lot about our products. We swap recommendations, we sample freely at Thrive Market HQ, and we’re the first to add newly-launched items to our orders. Editor’s Picks is a monthly column rounding up the top three products our blog editors are loving.

In July, we found the best way to both fake a tan and soothe a sunburn, made sustainable swaps in our personal care routines, and stocked up on picnic-ready snacks (including something for our furry friends). For these and more of what the Thrive Market blog editors bought and loved this month, read on.

Babo Botanicals After Sun Soothing Hydrating Aloe Gel

After spending a gray, overcast morning at the beach having coffee with a friend recently, I was surprised to discover a few big patches of sunburn on my legs. Fortunately I had a big tube of this cooling, non-sticky aloe gel to ease the sting. Next time I’ll remember clouds can be deceiving.

Urban Moonshine Immune Tonic

COVID finally caught up with my household in July. Fortunately my case was mild, and while I definitely can’t say this herbal tincture is why, I’m still going to keep using it religiously…probably forever.

Thrive Market Organic Balsamic Glaze

In the summer, nothing beats throwing a bunch of veggies and proteins on the grill and calling it dinner—just add some greens and grains. This sweet balsamic glaze is a one-step dressing that tastes especially good drizzled on roasted bell peppers and portobellos.

LesserEvil Himalayan Sweetness Popcorn

I could eat a whole bag of this in one sitting (a sure sign of a great snack, right?). It’s the perfect blend of sweet and salty, and the coconut oil gives it an extra bit of flavor that’s really unique and tasty.

Well People Bio Bronzer Cream Stick

I love this sheer bronzer when I’m looking for a natural, tanned glow on my cheekbones. The color is universally flattering and the stick is so easy to use, I even like to use it as sort of a smudged liner on my lips under my normal lip balm.

Fix & Fogg Everything Butter

This super textured nut butter is unlike any I’ve ever tried before. While the base is made of a blend of classic peanut and almond butter, it also contains deliciously crunchy pieces of hemp, chia, sesame, sunflower, flax, and pumpkin seeds. I like to spread a thick layer on warm toast from my favorite neighborhood bakery.

Thrive Market Goods Organic Almond Beverage

I make a protein smoothie almost every morning for breakfast and have been using our almond milk since it first launched. Prior to that, I cycled through a few different options from the grocery store but didn’t always love their ingredients. You don’t need much to make delicious nut milk, and this one has only four ingredients—I always add two cartons (or sometimes four!) to every order.

Pure SOL Konjac Body Sponge

One of the perks of my job is writing copy for all the new products we add to ThriveMarket.com and knowing what’s about to launch. After finding out about Pure SOL’s body sponge, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my shower routine. I’d been wanting to replace my plastic loofah for ages, and this sustainable option is a great alternative. I really like the gentle exfoliation, which is perfect for summer when I spend more time outdoors and slather myself in sunscreen all day long.

Three Farmers Roasted Lentils

I’m eating less gluten these days (okay, basically none) but still appreciate a crouton-like crunch in my salads. Enter, roasted lentils. Not only do you get some added protein, but the light texture satisfies my crunch cravings too. They’re also tasty scattered on a bowl of soup.

peaksNpaws Himalayan Yak Milk Dog Chews

Our family recently adopted a new dog, Mr. Pickles the pug. With a single whiff, he fell in love with these chews instantly. The best part is he virtually has no bad breath after. Anything to make those early morning licks smell a little less stinky is a win in my opinion.

Dr. Bronner’s Hand Sanitizer, Lavender

In 2022, my standards for hand sanitizers are high. A good hand sanitizer should not only clean your hands but it should makes you, the person connected to those hands, feel clean. Enter in Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Hand Sanitizer. Say goodbye to that heavy, sticky residue so many lesser sanitizers leave! Say goodbye to pungent, artificial scents! Say it with me: we deserve good things.

Fly by Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp

Can a condiment have a soul? I ponder this question as I dollop another teaspoon of Fly by Jing onto my patatas bravas. The flavor tastes totally unique while simultaneously complementing most dishes I add it to.
