We created the Health Hacks on a Budget video course series to make it as easy as possible for everyone to save time and money while living a healthy life. In this series, we share simple recipes, easy tips, and educational information to help you and your family thrive.
Health is not just about the food we eat—our environment has a huge influence on our overall health as well. A large percentage of cancers are caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to cleaning agents and other products around the home that contain known carcinogenic materials.
The Environmental Protection Agency found that air is even more toxic inside than outside—and guess where we spend 90 percent of our time: indoors. That’s why it’s crucial to make an effort to detoxify the home.
To clean house without contaminating your environment with chemicals and carcinogens, all it takes is some baking soda, distilled white vinegar, liquid castile soap, olive oil, and lemon juice.
In this video, Sara Snow also explains why you should open up the windows and fill your home with chrysanthemums and peace lilies. (Hint: It’s not just because they smell good!) Sounds like a breezy, refreshing lifestyle anyone can get behind, right?
This is one video in a series that’s free for all Thrive Gives recipients. See the rest of the videos here. Applying for a free membership through our Giving program is easy—just click here.
