Though the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is certainly breathtaking, not all surfaces need to be covered in art. For instance, the mural your little ones doodled the living room wall somehow doesn’t have the same effect.

When arts and crafts time gets a little out of hand, there’s no need to run out to the store for some specialty cleaning product—just grab one common household ingredient!

A damp rag dipped in a little baking soda will erase stray crayon marks on your walls. Pro tip: The same technique will erase pencil marks!
