VIDEO: Break a Sweat and Have a Blast With a Dance Workout From Jessica Alba’s Trainer

Confession: one summer when I was a kid, my sole purpose in life was to teach myself the choreography from Janet Jackson’s “If.” Did I ever master the over-the-top moves? Let’s just say, I’m very lucky YouTube did not exist in 1993 to document my awkward attempts.

But thankfully, YouTube is here now, and because of it, picking up some dancing skills is suddenly a whole lot easier. If you’ve never learned how to “booty tooch,” now is your time. Here’s a lesson just for you, from one of the best: JJ Dancer, who just happens to be Jessica Alba’s electrifying trainer. Press play to walk through the basics of every move (hit rewind as many times as you need too!). Once you feel like you’ve got it down, JJ and her backup dancers show how to rock the routine in full force.

Whew, do this a few times and it’s a high-intensity cardio workout. But it’s easy to follow and crazy fun! Like, adrenaline-pumping, smile-plastered-on-your-face fun. Sculpting a long and lean “dancer’s body” is just an added bonus.
