She already had our mouths watering over her homemade cranberry sauce recipe. Ready for Laila Ali’s one-two punch? Cornbread stuffing coming right up!
In this video, Ali shares her super rich recipe for cornbread stuffing, overflowing with dark meat turkey and tons of herbs and spices. It will knock out all your Thanksgiving guests. We know for sure, because it’s dad-approved—and when that dad is Muhammad Ali, we must respect.

2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 large onions, chopped
4 celery ribs, chopped
12 to 14 ounces ground turkey
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 tablespoon sea salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
2 packages cornbread mix, baked and broken into pieces
3 cups chicken broth
Heat coconut oil and saute onions and celery until tender. Add turkey and cook on medium heat until browned. Sprinkle in herbs and spices and stir.
Remove from heat and combine cooked turkey with pre-baked cornbread (follow instructions on the package). Add chicken broth and mix well. Pour stuffing into a casserole dish, cover in foil, and bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
