Are Green Powders Really Worth the Hype?

Last Update: December 21, 2023

Green powder is all the rage. If you’re interested in improving your health and diet, you’ve probably heard about adding a green powder to your daily routine. So what is this stuff, and is it worth the hype?

Green superfood powder is essentially a concentrated and dehydrated form of all those leafy greens you know you should be eating. Because of their dense nutrition, leafy greens are just about the healthiest food you can put into your body. They contain loads of vitamins and minerals that support all your body processes and health. Even if you eat greens regularly, unless you eat several pounds of them every day, you’ll most likely benefit from adding a green superfood powder into your routine.

Shop around and read labels to see which product has the most nutrition and bang for your buck. (Be aware that there are some brands out there that contain cheap fillers.)

Green powders can range from a single ingredient, like wheatgrass or spirulina, to ones that contain a long list of health-improving ingredients. One favorite for many in the health community, is Vitamineral Green, which boasts a long list of health-boosting ingredients and essentially serves as a multivitamin in food form.

If the price seems steep, consider that one tablespoon of this powder can give you your greens for the day. Of course fresh is best, but for people on the move, sometimes a powder is a fast, convenient way to get some dense nutrition and vitamins. Supplementing an already healthy diet with a daily scoop of green powder is a recipe for vibrant health.

Green superfood powder also works as an effective alkalizer, helping to reduce the acidity in your body. All disease thrives in an acidic environment, so easy ways to support alkalinity are valuable as a preventative measure to help you avoid developing disease in the first place. As they say, prevention is the cure.

One of the easiest ways to integrate green superfood powders into your routine in the form of a green smoothie. Green powder can also be added to a green juice for added nutrition, or even stirred into plain water or nut milk. Just add a scoop, shake it up and raise a glass to your health!
