Chocolate Almond Butter Raw Crunch Bars

Can almond butter get any better? When swirled with chocolate—a winning combo and key ingredient in this recipe—you’ll find the answer is “yes”! These decadent bars only take 15 minutes to mix up (minus some chilling time in the fridge), and the short list of ingredients (like maple syrup, coconut oil, and brown rice cereal) makes it easy to whip these treats up for post-game snacks, school lunches, bake sales, and more.

Chocolate Almond Butter Raw Crunch Bars

Yield: 16 (2-inch) bars

Total Time: 2 hour and 15 minutes


1 cup Barney Butter Almond Butter Blend
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup coconut oil, melted
½ cup raw cacao powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 ½ cups crispy brown rice cereal


Line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing for a 2-inch overhang on the sides.

Add chocolate almond butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil to a small bowl and stir until smooth. Whisk in cacao powder and salt, then stir in rice cereal. Pour mixture into prepared dish and spread evenly with a knife or icing spatula. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours. Use parchment to lift bars from the pan, then slice and serve. Extras can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
