Frozen Mint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Here are two reasons we’re hemp over heels for this spin on classic hot chocolate. First, the dry mix can be made ahead (or even doubled), which makes whipping up a drink extra easy. Second, each mug contains a few drops of hemp extract oil, a phytocannabinoid recognized for its wellness properties. The minty fresh flavor is an added bonus, as is the optional dollop of coconut whipped cream.
Frozen Mint Hot Chocolate
Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients
For the hot chocolate mix:
1 cup cacao powder
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
For the hot chocolate:
1 cup almond milk
2 tablespoons hot chocolate mix
1 ½ cups crushed ice
1 dropper full (1 ml) Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract Oil, Mint Chocolate
Coconut whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
Make the hot chocolate mix:
Whisk cacao, sugar, cayenne, and salt in an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
Make the hot chocolate:
Add almond milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice to a blender; blend until smooth. Add hemp extract and pulse to combine. Pour into a tall glass and top with coconut whipped cream, if using.
