Quinoa Hot Cereal Flakes

Great for a gluten free diet! It is bland so have to add nuts and fruit but it has a lot of protein!

- Allison

quinoa flakes

Ancient harvest quinoa flakes are great. But best if you skim off the foam when first bringing them to a boil as this decreases the level of saponins and reduces bitterness.

Quinoa flakes Hot Cereal

First off, quinoa is not a grain it is a seed and is better for you than grains. This product has been so wonderful for me because I don't eat grains anymore and SO missed hot cereal. It cooks up just like oatmeal and tastes great. Wonderful product.

Hot Cereal Flakes

And the recipe on the side for cookies is GREAT!

Too mushy!

After trying this alternative to my usual steel cut Irish oats, I would rather cook whole quinoa for breakfast than to eat this mushy cereal.

- Hermila

great added to steal oats

for breakfast with berries

Quinoa flakes

I love this product. I don't eat grains anymore and this is a seed. This has been one of the best finds to date. I used to love oatmeal and this has replaced it with flying colors.

- Renee

taste delicious

Awesome "grits" alternative. I just add a tsp of coconut oil and a little sea salt! Kids love it too

- Asia

Ready in minutes

Good alternative to oat meal. Ready in minutes in the microwave

- Laura

Great cereal!

Boil this protein-rich cereal, add a pad of butter from grass-fed cows, homogenized whole fat milk, and a squirt of maple syrup for a wonderful breakfast!!

Quinoa Flakes

Love these!! I use them in many recipes...haven't tried them as a cereal yet

My Oats/Flakes Substitute

I've been using Quinoa flakes for a couple of years, in my baking recipes and homemade granola bars, especially since I found out I am allergic to oats, wheat, rye, and barley. Though it takes some getting used to (because they are smaller and much lighter in texture than oats and other flakes), they work well enough to continue making the recipes I enjoy that calls for oats/flakes. They are very good in cookies, and I REALLY LOVE to use these in place of flour as the crumble topping on my apple crisp bake. YUMMY!!!

A wonderful start

I love quinoa but had never heard of these until a friend recommended them. Quinoa for breakfast is such a good idea, due to its health benefits - it's a great food to start my work day with. I make it with vanilla soymilk and add honey and blueberries - delish! I haven't tried it for baking yet, but will do so soon.
