Why You’ll Love Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks - Summer Strawberry
When a craving hits for something sweet, hop to it and reach for Annie's Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks. Sure, these little rabbits look innocent enough, but they’re actually bursting with juicy strawberry flavor. Individually packed, they’re perfect to throw in a lunchbox for a fun snack, put in your purse for an afternoon pick-me-up, or pack in travel bags for a weekend road trip.
While their adorable shape is perfect for kids, it’s no secret that grown-ups love them, too—and you can feel good about giving them to the whole family. Annie’s Homegrown Fruit Snacks are vegan and gluten-free, and made with pure ingredients (like real fruit juice) that are certified organic by the USDA, so everyone can enjoy them no matter their diet restrictions.
What makes Annie's Homegrown Fruit Snacks so special?
One of the biggest distinguishers of Annie's Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks is that they are vegan. Most traditional gummy candies and fruit snacks get their stretchy texture from gelatin, which is actually an animal byproduct made from the bones, tendons, and hides of cows and pigs, and sometimes the skin of fish. While it’s completely tasteless, and can actually be quite healthy, the use of this common ingredient means most gummy snacks are not vegetarian or vegan-friendly. Annie’s changes that by using tapioca and carnauba wax (sourced naturally from palm trees).
Another big difference is that, unlike other “fruit” snacks, Annie’s Homegrown cuts down on the artificial flavorings and chemicals and uses real organic white grape juice to create these treats. In fact, there are only a handful of ingredients in each 0.8 oz. pouch, including organic tapioca syrup, organic cane sugar, pectin, organic sunflower oil, and natural coloring from carrots. The result is a snack that’s low in sugar (just 10 grams per pouch) and has 100 percent of the daily recommended value of vitamin C, which is an important nutrient.
The benefits of vitamin C
Vitamin C (sometimes called ascorbic acid) is vital to overall wellness, but maybe not for the reasons you think. While legend has it that vitamin C is able to stave off the common cold, it’s actually not that effective in this regard (in fact, zinc is far better). But, vitamin C is essential for the growth and repair of body tissue, particularly in the creation of collagen, a protein that the body uses to create skin, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments.
Not only that, but vitamin C also has antioxidant power that can block the effects of free radicals and environmental stressors, which can build up over time in the body and lead to a whole host of chronic diseases.
Vitamin C also serves other purposes, such as:
- Sun protection. The antioxidant properties in vitamin C help to limit the damage caused by ultraviolet, or UV, light exposure. This is certainly no excuse to forgo the sunscreen on yourself or the little ones, but it can act as an added guard against sun exposure and keep your children free from burns and the long-term effects of harmful rays.
- Supporting strong bones and teeth. Vitamin C is responsible for encouraging cell turnover and fortifying the skeletal system, so that means every time the kids eat Annie’s Homegrown Fruit Snacks, their bodies are becoming even stronger as they develop.
- Boosting the immune system. While chugging some vitamin C when you feel a nasty cold coming on won’t do much in the way of illness prevention, taking it regularly can support the immune system overall and enable it to fight illness faster. That means your kids won’t miss as much school time when the flu hits, and you won’t have to take as many sick days. The trick is to consistently get enough vitamin C for at least two weeks prior to when the bug hits, so make Annie’s Homegrown Fruit Snacks a regular treat during cold and flu season.
Choosing snacks with less sugar
More often than not, kids’ snacks will have some kind of sneaky sugar additions that can go by any number of disguised names, including high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, or corn sweetener, among many others.
Instead, Annie's Homegrown Summer Strawberry Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks are sweetened with organic cane sugar, which is less processed, making it a more wholesome ingredient. It’s sourced in South America and is made by squeezing sap from sugar cane plants, which is allowed to evaporate and crystallize naturally.
While sugar should always be enjoyed in moderation, it’s also good to remember that the choice of sugar also plays a big part. Refined and artificial varieties that often appear in sweets can have detrimental effects on blood sugar, digestion, weight, and overall health. One of the great things about Annie's Homegrown Organic Fruit Snacks is that they come in pre-packaged servings, making it easy to teach your children about indulging without going overboard.
More about Annie’s Homegrown
Alongside partner Andrew Martin, Annie Withey started Annie's Homegrown in 1989 with a goal to provide healthy and delicious food products while, at the same time, creating a business that was not only successful but also socially responsible. Annie’s Homegrown got its start selling homemade mac and cheese to independently-owned natural food shops and regional supermarkets in the New England area throughout the ‘90s and slowly amassed a rabid following through word of mouth.
In addition to wholesome food, Annie’s also believes in sustainability. The company recycles almost 75 percent of their waste, and all of their food is shipped in boxes that are completely reusable. Annie’s Homegrown also promotes culinary education and, as such, has spent more than $2 million investing in school gardens across the country, providing a number of agricultural scholarships, and donating to nonprofit groups that educate public school students about healthy foods.
Reviews For Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks - Summer Strawberry
Based on 18 Reviews
These are a great alternative to other fruit snacks. I really like them. My daughter does too! I do think she prefers ones with "frozen" and other movies on the front. I do think it's all in her head though. I'll continue to buy these for her.
These fruit snacks are very sticky, and the flavor is just ok. Overall they just weren't similar enough to other store bought fruit snacks. Still could be a good product for kids though.
These things were SO good! And I love the ingredients! Mom and kid approved!

REMINDS ME OF SUMMEER
Nice strawberry flavor
Delicious but VERY Chewy
These taste great, but they are super chewy and sticky even after I put them in the freezer. I also wish more packs came in the box. I don't know if they are a product I will purchase again.
Sweet, but too chewy.
My wife purchased these for my kids because they were organic and Non-GMO. I honestly thought they would be a bland version of the ones previously purchased, just because they were healthier.
Well, we found that they were quite tasty. Our kids liked them but they are both under ten years old so they had a rough time chewing on them. I wish they were softer for children in that age range.
Top-notch ingredients, perfect portions
I keep these around the house as treats for my nieces and nephews while I babysit. Both my sister and I refuse to overload them with overprocessed, artificial preservative-laden junk, but we still want them to have a sweet treat to snack on every once in a while, and Annie's fruit snacks are IT! While candy is still candy, at least these fruit snacks are free of cheap fillers like HFCS and toxic food dyes. And while I normally steer clear of these sweet snacks, I actually really like these gummies. They're sweet, but also balanced with an authentic fruit flavor--without any of the weird, artificial aftertastes. I keep these on hand if I feel like I need a little sugar boost, or just have a particularly achey sweet tooth one day. The packages are just enough for a small child--or an adult looking for a small, healthier treat.
Better When Frozen
I bought these snacks out of pure curiosity. When I got them they were super tasty but pretty sticky. What I did was put them in the freezer so that when I took them out they were chewier!
I love this brand but with that each package had more in them and that more packages were in each box. Quality was pretty good but, I want more quantity!
Would buy again!

Amazing flavor AND organic!
These are consistently a favorite in our household! My daughter actually prefers these to candy, which I am completely fine with because there is no artificial flavoring or ingredients and they are completely organic! If you have kids or even just a fan of fruit snacks, these are a must-have!

Yummy and Smells GREAT!
I love theses gummies. They taste very good and smell GREAT! I will be a repeat buyer!
Great alternative to your regular gummy snacks
I bought these for my daughter because she loves gummy candies and I figured her eating too much of it isn't good for her so I decided to give this organic one a try. My daughter absolutely loves these and she can't believe their actually healthy because she said they taste like regular gummy snacks to her. I actually tasted a few from her bag and I loved the taste and chewiness of it. You would never believe you are eating a more healthier alternative to your everyday preservative, sugar filled gummy snack. Definitely give these gummy snacks 2 thumbs up for children or even an adult who has a sweet tooth.

Perfect! Even better in the fridge!
Great to satisfy a sweet tooth! Love these!

The description of "5 4oz pouches" seems to be wrong, as closer inspection of the shown package says there are "5 .8oz pkgs"

So good and so worth it!!!
You don't have to worry about any dental work with these or stuffing yourself with a lot of additives. You can taste that and feel it in the texture. They are a little pricier than mass-produced fruit snacks and these pouches are a little small ... but they are yummy.
In this case, you pay for "Organic" and a fruit snack without all the additives. You just have to decide if fruit snacks like these are worth it for you. We decided they were. We are actually finding more Annie's products that we like.
Yummy and fairly healthy treat for little ones
I love Annie's products, and this is no exception. While these probably aren't the healthiest of snacks, they have Vitamin C from real fruit juice, and they're about as natural as fruit snacks be. I feel pretty good about giving them to my son, and he gobbles them up! And frankly, so do I sometimes.
