Founded in 1982 in Weaverville, California, Aura Cacia started when the founders tapped into the power of essential oils in their own lives and wanted to spread the word. The company was purchased by Frontier Natural Products (another aromatherapy company) in 1993 and worked together to develop Well Earth, a sustainable sourcing program that travels the globe to find the best partners and includes in-house testing to guarantee oil purity.
