Reviews For Hazelnut Meal / Flour
Based on 12 Reviews
I use this flower to make hazelnut cookies and sometimes on chicken. Very yummy!
Taste is AMAZING
for those of you tired of having every think you bake taste like almonds this is a great alternative.
Great flavor and texture
I use hazelnut flour for baking Paleo bagels and for coating chicken and fish. It is a great alternative to almond flour.
Baking done better
I use this meal/flour in so many recipes I have to keep a second bag on hand at all times. That's why it's so great I found it here for much cheaper on Thrive Market. I especially like to use it to replace some of the flour in my muffins and cupcakes to add a slight hazelnut flavor and a little bit of sweet without adding more sugar.
Perfect for meatballs
I use this meal/flour for meatballs in the place of bread crumbs and it adds a depth of flavor I never got with bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious!

Makes great chicken
I use this stuff to bread my chicken. It is one of the best meat breadings I have ever used. I have also used it for pork chops. It adds a bit of sweet nuttiness to the meats.
I find it tastes best with white meats. I also sometimes add some extra spices to it to change up flavors.

Super sweet breading
Hazelnuts are a great nut and this flour is made from fresh hazelnuts and tastes sweet just like the nut. I like to add this into my flour mixes for cupcakes and cakes just to add a little extra sweet without extra sugar.
Hazelnuts are not only low carb, but they also pack a decent amount of vitamin E, which is good for the skin, hair and eyes.
I wish this replaced 100% of flour in my baking because it is THAT good. It has a distinct flavor, so I wouldn't recommend using it in biscuits or rolls, but it is great in breads and muffins and flavored pancakes. A great tasting flower!

Great Price and Great Flour
This flour is a great price here on Thrive. I have bought it for over $16 before, so to find it here on Thrive Market for $9.95 was exciting! It is the best price around.
This flour replaces 30% of flour in my recipes, so I use a couple different Bob's Red Mill flours when I am baking and each has their own distinct flavor. I really like this flour. It has a very nice nutty flavor and goes great as a flour replacement in pancakes and other baked goods.

This has been amazing to use for breading for the chicken we love to eat. We have to watch our sodium intake (my husband and I, doctor's orders!), so we can't really buy store-bought frozen chicken with breading. This has become a nice alternative. It's pretty high in fat, but it has virtually no sodium, so we're getting the "go ahead" from doctor to use it in small amounts in our chicken. It makes a nice, crunchy breading to go over the chicken, and while it doesn't taste like a fried option, it tastes really good in its own right. I'm happy we found this.

Price is unbelievable
I'm shaking my head as I write this. Not because the flour isn't good, because it is, and I mix it with coconut and almond flour to cut out as much refined flour from my baking as possible.
My husband wasn't sure another membership was wise, but since joining Thrive, I've save so much money on quality food that I already paid off my annual membership on my first 3 orders. Amazing!!!
Nice addition to your food
Bob's has tons of healthy foods that I buy. This flour is really ideal if you want to cut down on white or wheat flour in your baking.
I make a lot of cookies, but I can substitute a portion of the flour that's called for with hazelnut flour. And man, the taste is awesome. Hazelnuts have such a warm, rich scent. Just wait till those cookies come fresh out of the oven!
