Boiron

Committed to leading by example as world leader in homeopathic medicines.Boiron HomeopathicsBoiron was founded in 1932 in Lyon, France, by twin brothers and pharmacists Jean and Henri Boiron. More about Boiron’s history in France and throughout the world can be found at www.boiron.com.Today, Boiron USA has evolved into a leading U.S. homeopathic medicine supplier, fulfilling up to 1,000 orders per day during the busy flu season. The company partners with brokers, distributors and retail chains to make homeopathic medicines available to a wide variety of consumers and physicians. Boiron’s staff of 120+ consists of pharmacists and lab technicians, accounting and IT personnel, marketing & public relations staff, national sales force, customer service, and order fulfillment and shipping professionals—many of whom have impressively long careers with the company. As world leader in homeopathic medicines, Boiron is committed to lead by example. Our Commitment to the EnvironmentThe Boiron Group has a strong sense of obligation to respect the environment. The preparation of our medicines has a limited impact on the environment. The main effects derive from extracting raw materials (continuity of species gathered), water pollution (mainly organic and biodegradable) and waste. As a counterbalance, Boiron promotes re-supplying wild or organically-farmed plants when possible. This sequentially improves the quality of raw materials used.Additionally, the Boiron Group works with botanist-harvesters well-versed in diagnosing the land and employing harvesting strategies to anticipate continuity of supplies for the future. They generally harvest plants from their natural surroundings, which are then used fresh and wild in accordance with the balance of nature and the specifications of the principal pharmacopoeia. Our Commitment to Our EmployeesIt is Boiron’s deep conviction that the key to the performance and the growth of the company depends on the creativity and motivation of all concerned. To promote personal and professional growth, the Boiron Group pioneered a new approach to employee relations 20 years ago—one that fosters dialogue, self-confidence, and flexibility in tasks, hours and individualized work situations. In turn, the employees have a vested interest in the company’s performance through the employee profit-sharing program. Additionally, employees enjoy stress-reducing on-site massages, company-sponsored events to bring together family and friends, and an employee 401K program. Our Commitment to Our CommunityHealthy Child Healthy World – Healthy Child Healthy World is a California nonprofit organization that works to create programs and initiatives that demand corporate accountability; engage communities for collective action; support safer chemicals and products; and influence legislative and regulatory reform. Healthy Child has helped transform the marketplace to encourage safer environments for children. Boiron is a corporate sponsor of Healthy Child, who only works with brands that meet their high-quality standards and demonstrate a long-term commitment to its mission.Holistic Moms Network – The Holistic Moms Network (HMN) is a national nonprofit organization connecting parents who are interested in holistic health and green living. HMN’s mission is to generate national awareness, education and support for holistic parenting and green living by providing nurturing, open-minded and respectful local community networks that encourage families to share these ideals and learn from each other. Boiron is a proud national sponsor of HMN.Naturally Savvy – Founded by two holistic nutritionists, NaturallySavvy.com provides consumers with a safe and reliable environment to check out the latest news on healthy living. The site’s main focus is on eating organic, whole foods and learning how to integrate nutrition into our everyday living. Boiron is a proud recipient of Naturally Savvy’s Seal of Approval, which shows our products meet their high-quality health standards.Your 2 Cents – The Rodale Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to pioneering organic farming through research and outreach. Through its Arnicare product line, Boiron contributes to the Institute’s “Your 2 Cents” program that supports student scholarships for sustainable agriculture degrees and military veterans establishing careers in organic farming, and establishes research grants for farmers in the network.Vitamin Angels – Vitamin Angels is a global nonprofit organization that helps at-risk populations in need—specifically, pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life-changing vitamins and minerals.
