The History of Dropps

Jonathan Propper is the founder and CEO of Dropps, but back in the 1980s, his mother Lenore created the first version of the brand’s low-sudsing formula because she found commercial detergents to be too harsh on her delicate sweaters. When Propper wanted to take things to the next level, a friend told him they loved his detergent, but hated measuring it out, which resulted in an aha moment that he shared in an interview with Inc.: "America loves convenience—why ship big bottles of liquid laundry detergent (which is mostly water) around the country? There's water already in the machine—why not remove it from the detergent entirely?"
