Freehome (3)

Freehome produces high-quality wines, including Shiraz, from vineyards established nearly thirty years ago by Armond Lacomme’s family. Known for their minimal use of oak and sustainable practices, Freehome’s wines are pesticide-free and showcase organic fruit, making them ideal for a variety of dishes and outdoor meals.

Southern Australia’s Riverland wine region is located between the Murray River and the expansive Outback. Before the British colonized the area, it was originally inhabited by Aboriginal Australians. In 1887, the first wine growing district, Renmark, was established by the Chaffey Brothers where today, this area produces a quarter of the country’s wine, including the popular varietal Shiraz.

The History of Freehome

Freehome is located on the banks of the Murray River where cooler temperatures help ripen fruit that leads to nuanced, balanced bottles year after year. The head winemaker, Armond Lacomme, comes from a long line of farmers who planted the vineyards almost thirty years ago, and the sustainable practices he implements are helping preserve the land for future generations.

Benefits of Freehome

One hallmark of Freehome’s wines is a minimal use of oak (sometimes none at all), which puts organic fruit front and center in each bottle.
