<p>Ingrilli is a family-owned business where five generations of farmers have produced citrus juices on an orchard in Capo d’Orlando, Sicily for decades. In the 1880s, Giuseppe Ingrilli was a farmer in northern Sicily known for growing chili peppers and other vegetables. Every weekend he traveled 50 miles to sell his bounty at the Messina market, where he noticed aristocratic families becoming interested in lemons, so he decided to plant a few trees on his property, which became the epicenter of the lemon growing region in Sicily. In the 1930s, Giuseppe’s children inherited the business, expanding the citrus fields and extracting cold-pressed essential oils to sell along with the juice.</p>
