Reviews For DIY ColdBrew Coffee Kit, 1/2 Gallon
Based on 3 Reviews
Instructions were somewhat confusing, but I soon figured out what I would be doing. I had a pound of Kenyan coffee in the freezer, so brought that out ... made the best "jar" of coffee I have ever tasted. Easy clean-up, too. I'm sold on this product!
The gift that keeps on giving
I bought this as a Christmas present for a family member, and they absolutely adore it! super easy to use & brews up some delicious, not at all bitter cold brew coffee that tastes heavenly over ice with a splash of unsweetened almond milk!

Easiest way to cold brew!
I began making cold brew because it's low-acid (easy on the stomach) & my husband loves iced coffee. I've tried MANY cold-brew methods & they all are very time consuming, as well as make a mess! I'm so happy I found this product because it's so easy to use & clean up. Fill the "sock" with coarse coffee grounds (a conical grinder is really essential as you don't get any fine coffee powder to clog up the filter) and then put water in & let soak overnight. Lift the "sock" out & let drain. Dump the grounds & rinse out the sock. Store the coffee in the same jar in the fridge. No extra pitchers, strainers/filters, bowls or clean up! I make a strong brew using 2 cups of ground coffee. Also if you want hot coffee just add boiling water to your cup in the morning. My only complaint is the video at coffeesock.com showing how to use this product as it isn't detailed enough for a novice cold-brewer (I've learned a lot from trial & error). Thank you Thrive for making my coffee life easier!
