Why You’ll Love It

Linguine is a Ligurian specialty. They are flat and narrow like a tagliatella between 0.057" - 0.062" thick. Linguine is best paired with fresh tomato-based sauces with vegetables and herbs, or with quick hot sauces made with extra virgin olive oil, garlic, red hot peppers and anchovies. Other perfect matches are fish-based sauces with shell fish and seafood or white sauces made of cream, mascarpone and soft cheeses.

About This Brand

Bronze drawn, slow dried pasta since 1886. Since 1886 we have liked our pasta to be bronze drawn and slowly dried because we like it to fall into the plate full of taste, rough and always "al dente".Even though our taste has not changed, as we feel the same love for tradition, we have continued to improve our production technologies. The best pasta is made starting from the finest quality ingredients beginning with excellent durum wheat. This is what makes the difference.First of all De Cecco pasta is not made with any kind of wheat, but rather from the best durum wheat, the ones golden like the sun.For De Cecco passion for quality is very tangible. That’s why experts inspect the harvest fields checking the quality of the wheat, which is bound for shipment to the mill (Molino) in Fara San Martino. De Cecco uses only pale yellow grains, which are called colored grains, the same ones that you re-discover in your plate after a laborious process.Upon arrival the wheat goes through lab...

Reviews For Linguine Pasta

Based on 5 Reviews

This is one of my favorite pastas because their quality control is just great. Some pastas - especially health pastas - have had issues keeping their quality the same between different boxes. Some of the pasta is firmer while others will take longer to make. Not with De Cecco. Every box seems exactly the same. We can even set the pasta on a timer, and by the time it's up, the pasta will be done. It makes mealtimes with the kids so much less stressful.

Widely Available

De Cecco makes some of our favorite pastas, but we thought we'd give the linguine a try. I think we like some of their other varieties more, but I love the fact that we can buy this stuff in stores if we accidentally run out before we place another Thrive order. Thrive charges way less, but I like the peace of mind in case of emergency dinner plans. This stuff tastes great.

Nice, solid pasta

My family switched over to DeCecco a few weeks ago, and I found it on Thrive for a great price. Do yourself a favor, try this linguine. It boils up al dente every time, it's never mushy and it has no fat and very low sugar. It's a really good thick linguine that holds up with any kind of sauce you make.

Family Favorite

I picked this out because it wasn't made with GMOs, and I've stayed with it because it's just downright delicious. The kids love this way more than the old pasta we were eating. Thrive has a great price on it too. I thought we might have to stop buying it when our local health foods store raised the price, but Thrive has our business now - and it's even cheaper than it was locally. Thanks for the great prices.

Leaves me full

I really love this linguine pasta. It is sugar free and has no trans fat like other pastas do, so from the beginning it's ahead of the pack. Then there is the delicious flavor. It is amazing and goes with any pairing I put it with whether it's a white cheese sauce, red sauce, I've made dishes that were just vegetable filled with some light olive oil, or even with just a little parm and feta cheese on top. It tastes great and the whole family loves it.
My favorite part is unlike other pastas, this is not just your ordinary carb filled pasta. It is also high in protein, so it won't just leave you full for a few minutes and leave you feeling hungry for more in a little while, it actually fills you and leaves you full. I find that we don't snack so much after dinner when we have this pasta at meal time. It is a huge hit and I definitely recommend giving it a try!
