One reusable cup

Why You’ll Love It

The DivaCup is a reusable, bell-shaped menstrual cup that is worn internally and sits low in the vaginal canal, collecting rather than absorbing your menstrual flow. Menstrual cups have existed since the 1930s when women were searching for an alternative to the choices of the time. Yet, its breakthrough into the feminine hygiene industry is much more recent. DivaCup is recommended for women under 30 years old who have never delivered vaginally or by caesarean section.

Total game changer

I just used the Diva cup for the first time, and it is a total game changer. No more waste from pads/tampons and my monthly cycle is much easier to deal with (dare I say, it is even met with a little excitement because I get to use this thing?). You can use it all day and overnight, changing it out about 2-3 times a day, with no leakage and no discomfort! Love my Diva cup!

Best thing since sliced bread!

I have to be honest I was more than a little apprehensive about purchasing the Diva Cup and even put it off for awhile after conversations with my friends (none of whom had used the Diva Cup before) about how messy it must be to use...etc. All I can say to that is stop speculating and start buying now! If you are the least bit interested in the Diva Cup then buy it right away! I have never had such a free cycle! No more keeping tampons everywhere and worrying whether or not I have enough for a day away from home, no more plastic waste and worry when there isn't a trash can where there should be, NO MORE LEAKS, and most importantly no more discomfort from tampons that are rough on your vaginal wall and can cause serious infections such as Toxic Shock Syndrome. I have never written a review on Thrive Market until now, and I've been purchasing from this site for over a year now, but I needed to write this review for the women like me drawn to the Diva Cup but still apprehensive. Ladies, having used mine through a full cycle now I can honestly say that going back to a world of tampons and pads isn't an option for me anymore. Buy it now and thank yourself later!

Game Changer

The Diva Cup changed my life. Regular tampons, being filled with chemicals & bleaches, used to make me so sick during my time of the month. After switching to the diva cup, I don't even know I'm on my period. This changed my life, seriously. I've ran half marathons in mine, they really work.

Best Alternative

I have been using DivaCups for about 7 years now and I'll never permanently go back to tampons. Super convenient because you don't have to change it every few hours - a real perk if you're out and about in life or for your job. Makes having your period easy!

- Haley

It works

I tried it out and struggled getting it out at first but now I got the hang of it. No blood on my panties.

LOVE the Diva Cup

I've been using a Diva Cup for a number of years and it's been SUCH a relief in so many ways!

Life. Changing.

Takes a few attempts to figure out but once I did, it's life changing! Check the size/model and your age before purchasing (if 30 or over, go for Model 2).

❤️

Just got my diva cup and used it this month. I was nervous at first, but had absolutely no problems over the four days of my cycle. For me, it was helpful to put it in and take it out a couple times the first time using it just so I knew what to expect. Definitely not going back to tampons and such a good deal through Thrive.

Love this!

I had heard of menstrual cups quite a while ago, I just never made the plunge because of the price. Well, with Thrive's great prices, I was finally able to purchase one. Let me say, it's absolutely amazing! Ever since I tried it, I've literally been screaming from the rooftops to every woman I talk with, "Get a menstrual cup!" Honestly, I didn't feel like I had a learning curve at all. It was definitely strange to put in the first time or two, but I never once leaked (I wore pantyliner just in case). I have a fairly light period, so I really only need to empty it once in the morning, and once in the evening. I think I have a lower cervix, so the 'stem' is a bit long for me, but I can always cut it off, or even flip the cup inside out. I don't totally dread my period anymore. I don't have to worry about changing a tampon several times a day, there is no odor, it's so much better for your wallet in the long run and for Mother Earth!! Plus, I always felt gross if my tampon string would absorb urine, well, those days are long gone! I could not be happier about my period :) If anyone is on the fence about this, or even if you think a menstrual cup sounds gross/strange/whatever, just give it a try!!! I promise you'll be changing your mind and wishing you had converted earlier, like myself!!

Ridiculously good!

I was a die-hard o.b. tampon girl for years, but after two of my besties had their period worlds turned upside down by getting diva cups, I had to try it for myself. Though there can be a bit of a learning curve, it is ultimately very easy to use. I love being able to quantify how heavy my flow is (there are markings on the inside to measure volume - so cool!) and changing it is the easiest thing ever. I like sleeping nekkid, a luxury which was once a huge period no-no but is now the norm all month long for this happy hippie. Even the gym is no match for my diva cup, provided I have it in correctly; it has withstood the tests of yoga, Crossfit, and good old-fashioned back squat workouts. I could go on and on about how it's easy on the wallet and Mother Earth, but suffice it to say that having a diva cup makes me happy to get my period.

Warning for latex sensitive

I was so excited to try this because as an alternative, but sadly there is a warning on the box not to use if you are allergic or sensitive to latex. Still looking for an alternative.

Worth the purchase

I was skeptical about buying a menstrual cup, and put it off for months. Now I'm wondering what in the world my problem was, as this is so much better than tampons. Not only am I no longer throwing away multiple tampons a day, but I'm able to wear my cup for 10-12 hours, making my period much less of a hassle. Wishing I'd purchased this much sooner!

- Amelia

Life Changing!

This is so much cleaner than pads. I don't like tampons because they irritate so bad and pads do as well. I fold the cup into a C shape, and push it in as far as I can. Then use my finger to try to pop it open. I pull it down to make sure there's a suction. It took me honestly about 2 days, but I read so many reviews on it.
There's no funky smell every time you pee. You just empty it out every 10 hours, rinse, and then insert. I clean it with soap... But am thinking of getting the Diva cleaner solution.

- Alicia

Great substitution!!!

Sometimes hard figure which way it fits but you will get used to it. I felt really comfortable with it on my third period. Still sometimes I wear everyday pads for first hour of placing the cup and if it is not leaking I am free to forget about my period for 11 hours :)
Honestly haven't practiced yoga with it yet so can't tell how it's holding up in that matter.
But this things 1) saves me money 2) makes me feel better about my period 3) doesn't get smelly ( ever) 4) long-lasting 5)Comfortable

- Valentina

I don't hate my period anymore

Such an excellent product. There's a learning curve to it, but it is so comfortable (I forget it's in) and makes periods so much more manageable (fewer trips to the bathroom).

- Meg

OMG

Wish I know about these years ago. Took some getting used to. Made the whole process way less stressful. Will never go back to standard products!

- Megan

So far, so good!

I find this works well for me, I am in my late 20's and have not had any children. The first use was a bit tricky, I was paranoid it wasn't in the right spot and would leak. With a little bit of practice, you don't even notice it! It's like making you period disappear!

- Caitlin

GET A CUP! :) :) :)

YES YES YES, a million times, yes. Any menstrual cup on the market is definitely the best option.
Please, please, consider this option. I switched three years ago and am SO glad I did.

- Kim

Clean, Easy, Comfortable

This is by far the best "feminine hygiene" product I've used. I've never had a leak, even on heavy days. It does take a little getting used to, but once you figure it out it's easy to use and so comfortable. I've used it backpacking, climbing, skiing and just at work or home and never had an issue, unlike tampons or pads.

I find it easiest to empty and clean my diva cup in the shower, just a couple minutes every morning and evening. I find the hot water helps with cramps too. The medical grade silicone doesn't dry you out and there's no risk of toxic shock, so you can use the diva cup for 12 hours! No getting up during the night to change a pad or tampon. No leaks. WAY more comfortable than anything else I've tried, and no waste!! This review got a little long, but seriously I love this thing!

- Lily

Better Periods

The idea of these is so weird, but honestly, after you use it a couple times, it seems weird that you used to do anything else. These are smaller versions of the DivaCup designed for women who haven't given birth yet. This one is great. It goes in pretty easily, but there's definitely a learning curve. Give it at least 3 months to really get used to using it and have things under control. This is a lot more comfortable than tampons or pads too. No more discomfort or odd lines in clothing.

Not only that, but it saves me money. I don't have to buy feminine care products every month since this is reusable. It also helps reduce waste in the environment too which is really important to me.

It might seem weird at first, but I recommend every woman at least TRY this method at least once. If you don't like it, you can always switch back, but I think most people will stay with it.

- Essy

Definitely worth it

I finally decided to try the Diva cup out, mostly due to concern about all the waste from past and future tampon use. I also figured it would save me a lot of money in the long run. Like many things that are worth the effort, it definitely takes a bit of practice at first and some getting used to, but by your 2nd period you should be used to it. My periods are very heavy at first, and it's a relief not to have to worry about tampon changes those first few days. You'll be glad you tried it out.
