About This Brand

EPIC products don’t just focus on good taste—they also want their foods to nourish the body and mind, while also being conscious of the land and of the animals that contribute to their line of products. The story behind the EPIC brand EPIC was founded by Taylor Collins and Katie Forrest after they both became vegetarians, oddly enough. They both assumed that a healthy diet was entirely plant-based and that the best sources of protein came from soy or other highly processed options. They ate a lot of carbs and very few fats, just like nutritional experts in the media advised, and they also tried going vegan and doing a raw food diet. It didn’t exactly work as hoped since their diets only made them sick with gastrointestinal distress and other inflammatory ailments. Taylor and Katie didn’t know how to maximize their wellness, so they looked for answers in the whole foods diets that our human ancestors consumed. This is also known as the Paleo diet, which focuses on foods that...

Reviews For Currant and Sesame BBQ Chicken Meat Bites

Based on 15 Reviews

Omg... I ate the entire bag in one sitting and I've been thinking about it everyday since.

- Brittany Burrola

Truly Epic

This is by far my favorite Epic Bar and or Bites flavor. The sweetness from the currants perfectly balances all the spices and salt.

- Evelyn

great!

Tender, juicy great flavor. If you like jerky you'll love this!

- Heidi

Great comparing to chk jrky. Less if your brain wants beef jrky. :)

Pretty good in terms of texture.
Not a bring me back knock me down flavor.

Would I reccomend: sortof.. maybe.

Would I rave?. Nah.

I probably finished half before putting down.
Thanks both ways.

- David

LLLLOOOOOVVVEEEE!

These are divine! I could eat them everyday!

Addictingly Delish!

As a paleo family, clean snacks are a priority and, as a busy family, portability is greatly desired. This achieves both AND is so delicious! Even my picky 14yo is obsessed with the tender, juicy balance of sweet & savory in these meaty bites. Have already reordered & expect to do so again!

Sweet delight

This stuff is delicious. Very sweet. Probably too many carbs for my ketonian existence.

Yummy snack

I love having several primal kitchen snacks on hand for on the go. My kids love them, they are a healthy and clean option and whole30 compliant. These are delicious too and so much more affordable from Thrive!

- Celeste

tasty!

I like these!! A lot better than the one bar that I tried which was also chicken meat. They are juicy, tasty, and easy to take on the go!

- Renee

Chicken Jerky

These are my favorite of the Epic brand! They save well (it is jerky, after all), and they're perfect for camping. They don't leave a weird aftertaste like some of the other Epic items do.

- Thrive User

Great!

The boys took these for school lunches and LOVED them!!!!

- Julie

Not very "Epic".

Ive tried a couple different Epic products and find them to be just so-so at best. I wont be buying anymore of their stuff.

- Toni

Tender, Mild, Enjoyable

These bite sized morsels are the perfect snack with some veggie sticks and cheese. The bag is very small, so you will only get enough for roughly 2 adult snacks. These nuggets are very soft, and kids can enjoy them too. The flavor is a mild sweet bbq

- Mr. & Mrs. Eric

Solid Beef Jerky Alternative

These, unlike Epic's Bison Bites, are actually pretty good. The texture is much closer to jerky than the Bison variety without being dry but without also being ovelry moist. The seasoning was perfectly balanced and not overly salty. These wouldn't be my first choice for a natural jerky but for those wanting to limit the red meat in their diet, these are a solid pick.

- James

not so good

Off-putting flavor and texture. Would not buy again
