Why You’ll Love It

Even the best intentions for a healthy diet can be dashed by potato chips. Crunchy, salty, fried—they tick a lot of the boxes when you’re craving a satisfying, savory snack. If you’re going to indulge, though, do so in a way that still provides some nutritional benefit. Jackson’s Honest Rippled Red Heirloom Potato Chips feature red heirloom potatoes from Peru that contain the same antioxidants found in raspberries. They’re also cooked in coconut oil, which holds up better under high temperatures and helps raise good HDL cholesterol levels. Featuring just two other ingredients (organic coconut oil and salt), they’re easier for your body to digest than artificially-flavored chips.

About This Brand

Throughout the day, grabbing a quick snack is something that almost all of us end up doing, although it can be very easy to overlook healthy food options when it comes to snacking. While fresh fruit is great option, sometimes you want to satisfy those crunchy or savory cravings, which is exactly what Jackson's Honest Potato Chips does! The history of Jackson’s Honest Jackson's Honest Potato Chips is a newer player in the world of snacks and was started by a husband and wife team. The idea wasn’t born from a desire to compete with huge snack companies. Instead, the company started as an idea to provide better food. The owners of the company had a son who suffered from major health issues as a child, including chronic fatigue and serious nutritional deficiencies. After the couple spent hours, days, and months studying popular foods that people eat, they came to the conclusion that it was the man-made vegetable oils that needed to be cut out of the diet. They also found that...

Only order if you have self-control. So scrumptious I am on the verge of devouring the whole bag.

So so good!

I'm not a potato chip fan but since I've been changing to a healthier eating plan I've missed my crunchy snacks. My eating plan is an odd combo of paleo gluten free vegetarian mix. I can have brown but not white rice; blue, purple, red, yellow potatoes but not white. To my surprise I found these chips made from red potatoes! Now truthfully I thought they were made from red-skinned potatoes. When I opened the bag...they were a crimson, some a burgundy color! These are what all potato chips should taste like! I appreciate that there are only 3 ingredients: red potatoes, coconut oil, sea salt. That's it. I am now a potato chip fan. I wonder if they will do blue or purple chips? I won't overindulge, but good to keep in pantry for when I need a crunch!

I should've ordered more than one bag!

I thought Honest Jackson's Purple Heirloom potato chip's were my favorite, but having tried this red variety, I'm unsure which I like more! These have more of a traditional potato chip taste than the purple and hold up well with dips because of their thickness and ripples. And let's be honest, rainbow veggies are more fun to eat!
