About This Brand

In 1980, actor Paul Newman and writer A.E. Hotchner gave their friends and neighbors a special holiday gift; homemade salad dressing packaged in wine bottles with parchment paper labels. The reaction was extremely positive that Newman and Hotchner decided to form a company to bring their salad dressing to the public. With each founder contributing $20,000 up front, Newman’s Own was officially born. Although, according to Newman the company “...started as a joke and got out of control.” Today, Newman’s Own is a veritable empire in the packaged, health food market that offers over 200 food and drink products made of all-natural ingredients. From salad dressings, popcorn, pasta sauce, cookies, snacks, lemonade, and more. The options that Newman’s provides are truly endless. Reviews For Ranch Dressing

Based on 5 Reviews

Best ever salad dressing, wont use and anything else.

- Carole

Takes some Adjustments

I think some of the other reviews come from people who aren't used to natural and organic products. In terms of ingredients, I can pronounce everything used in the bottle. There isn't any MSG and none of the ingredients are concerning. It does change a little bit of the taste, though, so it doesn't taste nearly as rich as standard ranch dressings. It just takes a little bit of getting used to.

Not In Love

I'm not as fond of this stuff as I thought I would be. I really enjoy most ranch dressings, but something about this just doesn't taste right. It doesn't taste "spoiled" or "off", but it just doesn't have that really vibrant and rich taste that I'm in love with for my ranch dressings.

- D. Holford

NOT organic

I purchased this item because it is listed under the title Newman's Own Organics. When I received it, I could see that it is NOT organic. None of the ingredients listed say organic. And the bottle says Newman's Own, not Newman's Own Organics. Even the list of ingredients on Thrive's site don't say Organic. Beware if that is what you want!

- Jean Christensen

helps against the flu and colds.

Helps me when I'm about to get sick and relieves my symptoms. It's also a good antioxidant. Supports my immune system. This product really helps against the flu and colds.
