In previous decades, frozen foods were filled with preservatives and made with less-than-exceptional ingredients. Today, brands like Alexia make it easy to incorporate frozen side dishes, fries, and even main courses into your weekly menu without sacrificing quality.

The History of Alexia

Alexia got its start when founder and chef Alex Dzieduszycki set out to answer what seemed like a simple question: Why weren’t there better side dishes available in the frozen aisle? He began testing everyday dishes that lived up to what he might create in his own Greenpoint kitchen, and hand-selected the best ingredients to do it.

Alexia Company Mission

At Alexia, quality and taste always come first. With a passion for real ingredients, perfect seasoning, and sophisticated flavors, this brand offers distinctive and convenient side dishes for everyone in the family.

Benefits of Alexia

When you shop with Alexia, you’ll find gluten-free options, organic ingredients when possible, and no artificial preservatives or colors. In addition, sustainability is at the core of Alexia’s mission, and the brand is making strides to implement various programs throughout the supply chain.

100% of electricity used to produce organic potato products is offset with renewable energy credits.
Alexia is investing in technologies like lighting and refrigeration upgrades, fryer heat recovery tools, and boiler condensing economizers to operate a large-scale production facility more efficiently.
At their sweet potato facility in Louisiana, Alexia developed a close-loop program for converting potato solids into biogas, which is used to offset natural gas demand, making this the first frozen-food production facility to earn the esteemed Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) Platinum certification.
