Banyan Botanicals is rooted in Ayurveda, a form of alternative medicine that embraces holistic wellness. The practice, believed to be over five thousand years old, celebrates our capacity for greater wealth. Banyan Botanical provides powerful herbs and products that support self-care through nourishing routines and lifestyle.

The History of Banyan Botanicals

Banyan was founded in 1996 by Scott Cote and Kevin Casey in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before that, Cote was an Ayurveda student who was tasked with running the herbal pharmacy at the Ayurveda Institute. He worked there for 10 years mixing formulas and absorbing wisdom.

Cote and Casey saw a supply issue that needed to be addressed - Ayurveda was on the verge of taking off in the United States, and people were in search of high-quality herbs and products. They began formulating tablets and used the internet and catalogs to market to the public.

As Ayurveda is still a new concept in the West, Banyan Botanicals strives to educate as they continue to provide over 30 various USDA organic tablets to consumers.
