The History of Biokleen

Biokleen began in the 1980s with Jim Rimer, a sales executive for a chemical supply company. In a time before widespread discussions of the harmful effects of toxin-rich cleaners, he was surprised to see harmful side effects on customers and coworkers alike - from skin rashes to respiratory diseases. Rimer’s attempt to start safety trainings for the products led to him being fired from the company.

In response, Biokleen was born. With his nights spent studying chemistry and botany, he worked in his garage to produce cleaning products that were effective enough for janitors, but safe enough that people were requesting small bottles for their homes.
