Back in 1977, Eugene and Susan Kang discovered a phenomenal brand of jerky at a roadside stand while on their way to the Grand Canyon. They were so impressed with this jerky that they became obsessed with tracking down its creator. Soon, they found him - Celestino “Charlie” Mirarchi was behind these hearty treats, but he spent so much time making his products that he couldn’t devote much of his time to actually putting them out on the market. The trio decided to partner up, and Archer Jerky Co. was born. The brand was gradually discovered by people throughout the American Southwest, and soon enough, Archer jerkies were a regional favorite. Now, the brand can be found at specialty outlets and grocers throughout the country.
