DeeBee’s was founded by Dr. Dionne Baker, a PhD medical scientist who wanted to do business differently and feed families with wholesome ingredients. After becoming a mother to two children, she found it challenging to learn the ropes as an entrepreneur. “One of the first bankers I spoke to said not only that they couldn't fund us, but also asked why I was bothering to do this," she shares. "I had a very successful husband who made a good salary. They asked me—why was I disrupting the peace?" Motivated to foster a vibrant world where differences are celebrated, kids are encouraged to be themselves, and families are nourished with a rainbow of fresh fruits and veggies, DeeBee’s Organics was born.
