Sodium Levels

Posted   by Penelope from AMERICUS, Georgia
I really just wanted to ask a question, but I didn't see anywhere to do that. Why is it necessary to have SO MUCH sodium in a cooking wine? There is 130 mg in just ONE TABLESPOON! My husband and I have to watch our sodium levels so we are forced to substitute so many authentic ingredients because of the excessive salt. It's frustrating.

Only Brand of Mirin I Use

Eden mirin is the highest quality of the brands I have tried ... hands down. It leaves a delightful sheen on my bok choy in addition to a light flavor profile. In my spicy Asian marinades, it balances out the pungency of fresh ginger and garlic. A little goes a long way !

Great flavor

Posted   by Oliver.Walt053
This mirin offers a great flavor that not all mirin's provide. It is the kind of cooking rice wine that is both sweet and tangy at the same time. The tang sort of just cooks off as you simmer your rice. I really like it. This particular brand is high quality and flavorful.

I have needed this for several recipes and not been able to find it in the local store. I was so excited to find it on here and at such a fair price. I have a fantastic stir fry recipe that uses mirin-its incredible.
