About This Brand

Follow Your Heart

In 1970, four friends got together and created the Follow Your Heart® Market and Restaurant in Canoga Park, California. From these small quarters, we served vegetarian soups, sandwiches, and salads to a growing vegetarian community. Eventually, the ever-increasing need for new vegetarian products led us to put our energy and ingenuity into creating our own line of all natural foods.

Chemical taste

I can understand the diverse ratings for this product. I thought the low ratings were for those who did not mind an "off taste" I don't. This really has a chemical taste - you must load it with butter - cheese or other flavors. Don't think of it like tofu, that on its own has a certain flavor I like. I did like the texture and consistency of it and used cashew butter and soy cheese and it is helping me make the transition away from eggs.

I like using this as baking egg replacer. It’s easy to put together and works well with just about everything. Just made some “egg pasta” with it and it turned out great

These eggs worked okay in baking however they definitely left a slight taste. Would not recommend using to scramble.

Not the best

I use this with gram flour to make eggs. Adding a tbsp to 3-4 tbsp of gram flour helps mask the string eggy flavor and smell.

I’m a little divided on this product. It is quite interesting to try to cook it up like an egg. But it is tasty if you use non-dairy cheese on it. and I put in a little black salt Which I believe is included in the ingredients now. But it works great in recipes. You will never know the difference. Maybe
