The History of Fresh Bellies

Fresh Bellies got its start with Saskia Sorrosa, a former Marketing Vice President at the NBA, who left her high-powered job to try to make a more positive difference in the world. Sorrosa developed some of the original mixtures that would become Fresh Bellies baby food in her own kitchen and quickly saw their potential.

She expanded the team to include a food cultivation expert, a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, and a team of pediatricians and nutritionists to advise them. The result was baby food made with passion and supported by science.

In 2019, Sorrosa appeared on Season 10 of the popular television show Shark Tank to promote Fresh Bellies and seek the support of a major investor. The publicity from the appearance has led to steady growth in the business.
