If roasted seaweed isn’t one of your go-to ingredients, you’re missing out on serious umami flavor (not to mention some nutritional benefits, too). Roasted seaweed—also known as nori—is a vegetable that delivers plant-based protein, fiber, omega-3s, and more, making it a full-on superfood that’s low in calories and carb free. This gluten-free ingredient is easy to incorporate into your daily meal plan. From sprinkling over popcorn or fried rice, to eating them right out of the bag, there are plenty of ways to get your seaweed fix.

The History of gimMe

GimMe is owned and operated by a husband and wife team who are roasted seaweed fanatics. These entrepreneurs are no strangers to the natural foods business. After selling their first company, Annie Chun’s, they were inspired to do it all over again and create healthy Asian foods with an eye towards ingredients kids will love as much as adults. Their teenage daughter helped nudge them into focusing on roasted seaweed—a family favorite ingredient—with delicious new flavors. The company’s name was also inspired by their daughter. Gim means seaweed in Korean, and they added ‘me’ at the end because the family believes it tastes so good, everyone naturally wants more.

gimMe Company Mission

The mission of gimMe is to bring globally inspired, delicious, and nutritious roasted seaweed to lunch boxes, desk drawers, and pantries everywhere. GimMe’s products are made with organic and Non-GMO Project Verified seaweed that’s sustainably harvested in South Korea.
