The History of Humm Kombucha

Humm was founded by Michelle Mitchell and Jamie Danek, two friends who were sitting around the table drinking Michelle’s home-brewed kombucha. She learned the recipe from her mother-in-law and had spent years perfecting it when Jamie exclaimed it was good enough to sell to everyone. They started out delivering glass jars of kombucha door-to-door, then brought their brew (and a couple of new flavors) to the Bend Farmer’s Market. They sold out instantly, moved into a local brewing facility, and hired a small staff.
