Why You’ll Love It

If You Care® Tall Kitchen Bags are made from 100% GMO-free potato starch (which make them stronger than bags made of corn starch!) in a fully compostable composition. 40% less land is required to produce the same amount of starch from these potatoes as from corn. Unlike corn, these potatoes require no irrigation, and need only normal rainfall. These bags are all-natural, polyethylene-, and plasticizer-free. Great for compostable waste, they fit all tall kitchen 13-gallon pails.

Sturdy But don’t expect to leave a lot of trash for too long. Specially if there are wet things inside. I usually replace my trash every 3 days, mainly because we cook a lot and scraps begin to smell.

I feel better to use these bags that are compostable and they are strong enough to not break. However, they do have a mildly funky smell that is not my favorite.

I prefer other trash bags. I don't have the space to have a bunch of different trash bags for different uses.

These are great for kitchen trash cans, but change often because they can puncture easily and leak if they get too full.

Not open at bottom. But I don’t feel guilty using them.

Good biodegradable product

Bought these thinking I could use them in my tall kitchen can for household trash. They don’t really fit the 13 gallon cans well enough for that use. I really like that they are made from potato starch and easily degrade in landfill. Probably should have read the product description more carefully as they also are not well-suited for liquids. I will watch for any truly biodegradable trash bags to show up on the market, and meanwhile go back to the 100% recycled plastic ones. These bags would be very nice for gardeners and others with larger quantities of food and plant waste.
