If you haven’t yet incorporated chia seeds into your diet, you’re missing out on one of nature’s finest superfoods. Not only are chia seeds rich in vitamins and nutrients, but they deliver a boost of fiber, protein, and omega-3s. Janie Hoffman, founder of Mamma Chia, realized the big power of these little seeds and went on to launch a business devoted to all things chia. From seeds to snacks to beverages and more, Mamma Chia offers a wide selection of wholesome chia must-haves that you can enjoy on the go or at home. The brand also ensures that each product is produced sustainably using organic ingredients—and has even been deemed a Certified B Corporation thanks to its environmentally-friendly practices. Here’s more on how Mamma Chia sets the superfood bar high.

The History of Mamma Chia

Mamma Chia got its start when founder and CEO Janie Hoffman, in her quest for a healthy diet, discovered the many benefits of eating chia seeds. Hoffman began adding chia seeds to everything including beverages, which were especially popular among her friends and family. Driven by her passion for chia, Hoffman launched Mamma Chia in the summer of 2009—the first organic, chia-based food and beverage company in the US.
