The History of Meliora Cleaning Products

While studying for her Masters of Environmental Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, founder Kate Jakubas asked the question of “what’s in our cleaning products?” and didn’t like what she found. Since then, her vision has been to use business as a tool to change the planet for the better. Kate started out by formulating her own vegetable soap to wash her laundry. Eventually, she partnered with Mike Mayer to make plant-friendly home cleaning and laundry products available to everyone.
