The History of Muir Glen

Muir Glen was founded in 1991 by a group of California entrepreneurs with a background in the tomato industry. Their goal was to offer a high-quality organic option, and the brand has never wavered from this mission. As for the name, it’s a nod to California’s roots. A glen is a secluded or narrow valley, inspired by the San Joaquin Valley where the tomatoes are grown, and Muir is taken from John Muir, the passionate environmentalist who helped establish several national parks, including Yosemite in Northern California.
