MOST EFFECTIVE REPELLENT I HAVE EVER USED

Bought this after being bitten twice within 15 seconds of standing in my backyard. Once I applied it to all exposed skin on my arms and legs, the back of my neck, and the brim of my hat, I was able to stand still in the same area for 5-7 minutes with no bites. I used it before walking a half mile trail in a nearby tidal marshy area, including stopping for bird observation. No bites. I haven't gone birdwatching without applying it since. Note, however, that you have to make sure to put it on all your exposed skin and spray your thinner clothes. I've had bites on areas I forgot to spray, and once had a mosquito pass up all of my skin and bite me through a sock. Also, when the extremely long and detailed warning label- read all of it, it folds out- says to keep it out of your eyes, they're NOT KIDDING. Spray it on your hands and then rub your face if you need to use it on your face instead of a hat. One last note: wash up vigorously with soap and water after you're done with it for the day. The smell clings for hours or more, especially to fingers.

I never really tried out the product other than to see if I’d react to it. Which I did not. But as I read the back of it, the warning says to not touch food, eyes, or mouth when using. That part was okay, but then it says to immediately shower when done with activity. Not that I would want to sleep smelling like bug spray, but I’m not comfortable with these warnings and directions for a natural bug repellent.
