There’s nothing like a great gin and tonic - yet common mixers that contain high amounts of sugars can ruin a drink’s taste and quality. Those who want to bring out the best flavor from their gin of choice can do so by topping off their glasses with one of Q Mixers’ superior mixers, made with all-natural ingredients.

The History of Q Mixers

The inspiration for Q Mixers came about just before the company started in 2007, when founder and current CEO Jordan Silbert was sitting in his Brooklyn backyard drinking expensive gin and tonics with friends. At the time, he had discovered that the bottle of tonic water they were using as a mixer contained artificial flavors and preservatives, along with a total of 32 grams of high fructose corn syrup. Compared to the high-quality gin, Silbert said that the mixer - going flat in a plastic bottle with a peeling label - looked out of place. This prompted the idea: Why not make a new, superior tonic water worthy of being combined with an expensive gin?

For four years, Silbert procured ingredients that he thought would work best and made his first recipe for what would become Q Mixers’ now-iconic tonic water in his Brooklyn kitchen, while also working on bottle design plans. After a handful of high-profile bars, restaurants and retailers began purchasing the product in wholesale quantities, Q Mixers garnered press attention and soon larger clients, who also requested new varieties and flavors. Silbert’s longtime friend from childhood - Ben Karlin - helped co-found the company and is currently president.

Q Mixers Company Mission

In creating existing and new Q Mixers products, Silbert said that his goal has always been to tinker with his recipes and procure only the best ingredients through the same methodical process he used to make Q Mixers’ Original Tonic Water.

Benefits of Q Mixers

Unlike most other company’s brands of tonic water and alcohol mixers, Q Mixers’ products are made using a minimal amount of sugar and only natural ingredients - in other words, no fake stuff. Instead, Q Mixers products contain organic agave as a sweetener. Drinks are also high in carbonation.
