Saalt, Saalt Menstrual Disc, Regular Blue

I have been using a disc/cup for several years now and have tried different brands and designs. I had hopes for this one with the indent for easier removal. However, I have found it harder to insert than others I’ve used and it hasn’t been particularly less messy as it doesn’t always stay in the same place as when inserted. I’m still going to use it but I wouldn’t buy it again. With that being said, the indent may help prevent leaking which has happened to me with other discs. I think it stays higher better because of the indent which I think also makes it harder to bear down and self empty. So, I guess it depends what is a priority for you.

The disk has worked great for me. It self empties when you use the bathroom but, has never leaked. I now have a zero-waste period.

I switched to a menstrual disc after learning about the trace metals found in disposable period products, and this product is not only easy to use, but the brand has amazing product design and a compelling mission. Truly an incredible product.

I had gotten a flex disc and found it was just a little too big for me, it kept slipping out. So decided to give Saalt a try because it is a few mm smaller and it fits much better and doesn't fall out. be sure to research disc sizes before you purchase one.

Move over flex and soft disc this bad boy is better and you will save $100s a year! I spent $20 a month on flex or soft disc (fyi same company) and now I don’t have too. Seals better and the finger slot is weird but does help

I used this three times then threw it out. The first time, it took me five minutes to remove and the notch didn't help, I had to reach over the edge and pull down on that. I chalked it up to it being new but then it took me 15 minutes to remove the second time. The third time, I tried for 20 minutes but it ultimately it took my boyfriend almost an hour. The whole ordeal caused a lot of panic, irritation, and an infection. My doctor said she's seen a few people with the same issue. I'll stick to a cup that's easier to remove.

I liked a lot about this but for my body, the removal notch moved out of reach and trying to get it pulled out was panic attack inducing hard. After 2 bad removals, I realized it is not the one for my body. It didn’t leak and I couldn’t feel it while inside.

The removal takes a bit of getting used to but this has totally changed my period week. Insertion is pretty simple and I don’t feel it. I hardly have to think about it for the whole day. For reference: I’m 37 and have 2 kids.

The product came as described; it is more comfortable than a cup but a bit trickier to figure out how to use.

I love this product! I have struggled with a very heavy flow since have children and the saalt disc has made my life easier. I went from day 2/3 using an ultra tampon every 1.5-3 hours to this disc and emptying every 12 hours (sometimes more if I felt like it, probably not needed but maybe tampon ptsd). Took about a day learning curve. This is my third cycle using and I love it. No turning back.
