In 2010, Mark Ramadan and Scott Norton founded Sir Kensington’s in New York City. The two friends met as undergrads at Brown University and concocted the fictitious English noblemen Sir Kensington before graduation. At the time, they used a leading ketchup brand as inspiration for how to flip the condiment industry on its head. Instead of plastic bottles, Sir Kensington’s chose glass. Rather than squeezing ketchup, the company opted for wide-mouthed jars and gave it a more exciting name: “scooping ketchup.” Over the years, they’ve built a cult following around a simple idea: to reimagine the ordinary and bring condiments into the 21st century.
Sir Kensington’s believes coming around the table is a powerful way to connect with others and seeks to “defend the dignity of food.” The brand started by cleaning up ingredients in some of the most commonly used condiments, starting with ketchup (and making it with whole tomatoes and less sugar) before branching into mustards, mayo, ranch dressing, and a vegan mayo option it calls “Fabanaise.”

Every condiment Sir Kensington’s makes is gluten-free. Its facilities are designed to prevent cross-contamination, and their jars undergo regular testing.
