The History of The Honest Kitchen

When Lucy Postins struggled to find answers for her dog’s skin problems and ear infections, she wondered if his diet was to blame. After digging more deeply, Postins found quality standards for pet food were generally much lower than food she would enjoy, and companies weren’t transparent with their sourcing and ingredients. Postins decided to create a better option, which led to the 100 percent human-grade foods The Honest Kitchen offers today.

The Honest Kitchen Company Mission

The Honest Kitchen is known for its human-grade pet food for dogs and cats, which is gently dehydrated to remove moisture while leaving natural nutrients and flavor intact. As a company filled with pet owners and lovers, Honest Kitchen supports all pets on the path to health.

Benefits of The Honest Kitchen

There are plenty of reasons tails wag when The Honest Kitchen is served. Recognizable, easy-to-pronounce ingredients are the only additions to The Honest Kitchen’s recipes, and favorites include eggs, salmon, pumpkin, and parsley. In order to meet The Honest Kitchen’s human-grade standard, suppliers are required to provide proof of food origins, handling, cleaning, and more, so you know quality is top notch.
