Why You’ll Love It

Used for centuries in Asian cuisine, shirataki noodles are made from glucomannan (a starch found in the konjac yam), and are free of fat, gluten, and soy. Here, the classic noodle gets a western makeover in the form of macaroni. Use them to make mac & cheese, casseroles, and more. Bonus: Each serving is only 10 calories!

Macaroni miracle noodles

Love these noodles as a pasta substitute. No soy, gluten, sugar or carbs!!! Excellent alternative for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions. Very liquidy though so keep that in mind for any sauces you make to go with the noodles

Great Substitute!

I love these!!! I can use them as a sub for any recipe. Smell is not bad. Taste is good. Just great!! Hands down best way to cook the noodles: rinse one minute cold water, boil for three minutes (already cooked but it helps with the consistency), drain well, put in a hot skillet for one minute until they make a sort of squeaky noise (do not add oil or butter or anything), add in butter and seasoning (my favorite everything season is just butter, salt, and pepper!)

Weird texture

The actual flavor was okay. You could add any sort of sauce and it would take in that taste. I didn’t like the texture. Pretty spongy, so not for me!

Not exactly like traditional macaroni. However, 'doctored' up they can be a pretty good substitute.

good in a mix

I mixed these into ground meat and cheese and it substituted for pasta great. Make sure you rinse, rinse rinse. I would prefer if these were a bit smaller size macaroni, though.

Good for Macroni Salads

I have had better luck with these in salads than in mac and cheese (since they release too much water when heated). they still get the job done tho for so little calories.
