The folks at Yogi Tea believe the purpose of its business is to be of service, championing a “Feel Good, Be Good, Do Good” philosophy. The brand boasts more than 40 years of experience and is committed to offering healthy, natural teas to help support the well-being of tea drinkers all over the world. Holistic teachings of Ayurveda and healthy living are two of the key inspirations for Yogi, and both continue to inform how its master mixers develop products for you to enjoy at home.

The History of Yogi Tea

Our story begins over 30 years ago with an herbal tea blend of Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove, Black Pepper, and Cardamom. Treasured for its wellness-supporting properties, this aromatic and warming tea was inspired by the ancient holistic philosophy of Ayurveda. Believed to be one of the oldest traditional systems of medicine, Ayurveda recommends a holistic approach to wellness, and emphasizes the importance of bringing your body, mind, and spirit into a state of balance.

The brand blossomed into the Yogi Tea Company in 1984, when packages of this spice mix landed on natural food store shelves throughout Southern California. By 1986, the tea began nationwide distribution with three flavors.

Yogi Tea Company Mission

The idea behind Yogi Tea is that while great taste is essential, it’s not enough. Tea should leave you feeling great, too. With this in mind, every product starts with the same question: How will this recipe work with both the body and mind? From there, the brand takes a cue from nature and creates its teas in kitchens, not labs. Each brew is made with whole spices and botanicals, so you get nothing but pure infusions to sip and enjoy.
