Who is Mark Sisson Mark Sisson is the founder of Primal Kitchen and is widely recognized for his work within the Paleo community. But even those things paint an incomplete picture of the man—let's start from the beginning. Raised in a fishing town in Maine, Mark Sisson fell down the rabbit hole of nutrition and athletics at an extremely early age. He lived about a mile and half away from the school he attended and one day developed a game. Instead of riding the bus home, he’d run and try to beat the bus. Little did Sisson...

Reviews For Chocolate Hazelnut Grass-Fed Collagen Bar, 6-Pack

Based on 6 Reviews

Not what I expected

These bars are very hard; I thought I was going to break a tooth biting into it and the sticky "chocolate" coating sticks to your teeth. They are nice natural bars, but the thickness and texture is not the greatest.

Really good

These are really chewy and sticky, but somehow it works. They taste more adult sweet as someone else said. I save these and spread out the days in between because they're expensive.

- Marla

Chewy but delicious!!!

These are very chewy and stick to your teeth a bit but definitely worth it! I can't remember the last time I had a snickers bar but I'd say these remind me of them. I have to note though I do not eat sweet things on the regular, not even fruit. So to me these are plenty sweet but if you're used to sweet things you're experience may differ. Repurchasing for sure.

Not for me

These would be absolutely perfect except I *personally* cannot stand the aftertaste of any zero calorie sweetener including the monk fruit that is in this bar. The ingredient list is impressive, texture on point and taste is fantastic until that sweetener kicks in for me. I'll look forward to a bar with honey (which these also have) and no monk fruit.

A satisfying snack

These are very filling and not overly sweet, yet sweet enough to fill the "I need something craving". There are actual chunks of hazelnuts in the bar - not just a dusting of the ground up nuts. These will become a pantry staple.

Not "kid stuff" sweet!

These are not the typical, squishy, cloyingly sweet, mashed-date bars one often sees in Paleo confections. They are quite chewy (which makes them very satisfying) with large pieces of nuts, and a deep, dark chocolate flavor. They have just a touch of sweetness that doesn't mask the richness of the nuts and earthy flavor of the chocolate. They are perfect for this chocolate lover that doesn't have a sweet tooth. I want to try their other flavors!
