Flaxseeds have been a trending superfood over the past few years and have found their way into the kitchens and diets of many. While the whole seed is the more popular form, the ground version is known to be the better choice since it can be difficult for the body to digest the outer shell. Spectrum Essentials Organic Ground Flax Seeds is a ground up version, allowing you to reap the benefits in an easy way.
- Source of omega-3: Flaxseeds contain 181 percent of the daily recommended value of omega-3 fatty acids, also known as healthy fats.

Organic Ground Flax Seeds
Always keep ground flax on my shelf for fiber in smoothies, meatballs, meat loaf and salmon patties. Spectrum is a great brand and at a 36% saving-Thanks "Thrive"!
Doesn't always dissolve
I'm big on the benefits of flaxseed, and this brand is really flavorful, with that perfect nutty taste I like.
But the problem is that it's really hard to just mix it into milk or juice because it doesn't dissolve quite as well as I want. Most of it ends up settling to the bottom, which means that to get it into my body, I have to scoop it out with a spoon. But it's fine when I use my blender, so I guess I have to do more of that until Spectrum figures out how to make this dissolve in a finer way.
Excellent nutritional additive
Doing research, I learned that flaxseed is most absorbed when it's ground as opposed to in whole seed form. Flax seed has many benefits, chiefly a boost of protein, fiber and good fats.
This is wonderful flax seed offered here. It's easy to mix into shakes and proteins, or to mix into oatmeal, cereal and even yogurt. I've even had it in my almond milk, though it's not my first choice when it comes to flaxseed consumption.

Easy to Add
Love adding this stuff into my protein shakes. This is like a fine powder that you can add into your cooking or other foods, but I've found that it takes some pretty intense stirring or mixing to get it to dissolve completely. It dissolves best in warm drinks, but with my milk protein shake, a lot of shaking in my shaker bottle seems to dissolve it pretty thoroughly. I enjoy the added fiber and protein shake and other health benefits every morning in my shake.

Tastes great, fresh and clean!!!
I always love this brand because they are always fresh. You never get any surprises with it. The expiration date is always correct and I never have had a bad batch. I add them to many of my meals because of the awesome Omega 3s and 6s. I've tried other brands of flax seed in the past, but this one by far tastes the best.

Very healthy & convenient
Flax seed is incredibly healthy on multiple counts, and also tasty, but it's much easier for your system to absorb nutrients from it if it's ground. While I could do this myself, I'd much rather have someone else do it for me! I like to sprinkle a bit of this powder on my cereal, oatmeal, and salads. I also add it whenever I bake. It has a nice, nutty taste that goes with just about anything.
